Custom BJJ Mats: Factory-Direct Roll-Out Mats for Academies and Distributors

Crosste manufactures custom BJJ mats as PVC + XPE roll-outs, cut to the length of your room so each roll runs wall to wall with no tile joints along the run. You choose thickness, surface texture, colors and logo. We supply academies, gym projects, distributors and private-label brands, with 10+ years as an OEM/ODM manufacturer.

Cut-to-Room Roll-Outs: Fewer Seams Across the Floor

  • Cut to length: rolls are produced to your room dimension, so one roll covers the full run of the floor.
  • Two widths: 1.5 m or 1.83 m (about 6 ft). Seams only fall between roll widths, which gives a continuous grappling mat surface for rolling and live sparring.
  • Faster setup: you unroll and position the mats rather than assemble and align individual tiles.
  • Easy to re-plan: a different room size means a different cut length, not a different product.

Trade-offs to weigh before you order

  • Roll weight

A long roll in a thick build is heavy. Plan for more than one person to carry and position it, and for a clear route into the room.

  • Seams between rolls

The joins between roll widths still need to be secured. Check how you will fix them before the first class.

  • Sliding on smooth floors

A roll-out can shift on polished or sealed floors. Tell us your subfloor so we can advise on securing the mat.

  • Cut-length limits

Very long runs make rolls bulkier to ship and harder to move. We confirm the practical roll length with you at quote stage.

Custom Jiu Jitsu Mats: What You Can Specify

Every custom jiu jitsu mat order starts from the same choices: surface, thickness, width, density, color and branding.

Surface texture

  • Litchi

A fine pebbled grain across the whole surface.

  • Tatami

A woven-straw-style pattern, a familiar look for dojo floors.

  • Smooth

A flat PVC finish with a clean, uniform appearance.

  • Felt surface

    Generally used for gymnastics tubes.

Each texture can be sampled before you commit to a full run. Texture is mostly a feel-and-look choice, so we recommend sampling it with your own students or customers.

Thickness and width

Thickness runs from 2 cm to 6 cm. Width is either 1.5 m or 1.83 m. Light gray plain leather; blue and black blanket/felt surfaces can be made 2 m wide. This is how buyers commonly specify thickness:

  • 2–3 cm

Drilling and technique-focused floors with light impact.

  • 4 cm

The usual choice for a standard BJJ academy floor.

  • 5–6 cm

Rooms that are heavily used in competition settings or are regularly dismantled, or rooms that have mats on hard floors such as concrete.

To size the order, send us:

  • room dimensions
  • how many athletes train at once
  • whether the space is shared with striking or other classes

Colors and logo

Available in standard colors—red, blue, green, yellow, black, grey, and white—or customized to match your preferred color. For branding, we offer digital logo printing, embossed or debossed designs, and sewn-on or attached labels and patches. Simply provide your logo in vector format and specify the desired placement.

Reseller packaging

Distributors and brands can have the mats packed in their own branded cartons with their own labeling. We settle the details at quote stage, together with the carton and labeling requirements for your market.

How a Custom Order Works

  • Inquiry and requirements

Send room size, thickness, texture, colors and logo.

  • Proposal and quotation

We confirm the roll build, options and price in writing.

  • Sampling, if needed

You check texture, color and logo before the full run.

  • Production

We cut and build the rolls for small batches or large orders.

  • QC, packing and shipping

Each order is inspected, export-packed and shipped to your destination.

Standard mats usually take 5–10 weeks. Custom orders are scheduled and the date confirmed before production starts.

What to send us:

  • room size, or roll count if you already know it
  • thickness and texture
  • colors (a Pantone reference if you have one)
  • logo file and placement
  • quantity
  • destination country or port

Matching Your Mat Setup to Your Training Space

  • Academy training floor

Settle texture first (litchi, tatami, smooth, or Felt surface), then pick a thickness within 2–6 cm that suits your class size and the floor underneath.

  • Competition-style area

Many buyers specify contrasting colors so the working area and border read clearly, and often add their logo.

  • Mixed BJJ and MMA room

The striking side may need a different mat. Compare it with our custom MMA training mats. If your room is mostly striking or kata, impact-absorbing karate mats are the closer fit, and karate mats cost explains what drives price.

Once the mats are down, follow these mat cleaning steps to keep the surface in good condition.
