1 m² per 100 × 100 cm mat · 100 mats for 10 × 10 m · 64 mats for 8 × 8 m · 2–4 wk standard-spec order.
This is a planning calculation, not a customer case. Each mat is 100 × 100 cm, so one mat covers 1 m². A 10 × 10 m floor needs 100 mats, and an 8 × 8 m floor needs 64, before any extra mats for borders or cut-to-fit edges. Specify 3 cm for a beginner and children's floor, or 2.5 cm for a forms and pad-drill floor. A standard-spec order of this size usually ships in about 2–4 weeks. Send your room dimensions and we will work out the count.
This wood-grain EVA mat is a dojang training floor. We do not claim World Taekwondo (WT) approval or official certification for it. We can manufacture mats designed around relevant WT technical specifications when a project requires that. If you are fitting out a venue for sanctioned events, tell us the floor requirements before ordering.
A firmer feel for poomsae (forms), footwork, pad drills and sparring classes where precise foot placement matters.
Extra cushioning for beginner and children's classes, repeated jumping kicks, or floors that double as general conditioning space.
Striking and forms training favors stable footing, so the choice between 2.5 and 3 cm comes down to how your classes use the floor. 1–5 cm options are available, and density depends on thickness.
If your students also practice throws, falls or grappling, a thicker, denser mat is the better tool. See our karate mats, our tatami mats and judo tatami mats. For a multi-use hall, gym flooring tiles cover the conditioning zone, and dog-bone rubber pavers suit outdoor play and training areas. For how the surfaces and grip differ, read taekwondo vs karate mat surfaces.
